No. 1
We are hired for what never leaves the house. Confidentiality is written into every charter, and our staff are bound by it before they cross your threshold. We do not name clients. We do not trade in introductions. The quietest reference we can give is that you will never hear of us.
No. 2
Households outlast postings, assistants, and apps. Legacy keeps the standing record of your house: the vendors who may enter, the dates that matter, the way the table is set. When staff change or the family moves, the standard travels intact.
No. 3
A dozen capable people can still produce chaos if no one holds the whole. Every Legacy household has one partner who answers, one book where everything is written, and one standard against which everything is checked.
No. 4
Anyone can follow an instruction. The work is knowing which caterer suits which table, when to interrupt a principal and when to absorb the problem, which invitation deserves a handwritten reply. We hire for judgment first and train for everything else.
No. 5
Some duties cannot be done remotely: a residence walked weekly, an elder visited on Thursdays, a daughter met at the airport. Legacy is a Washington house with Washington staff. When presence is the service, we are present.
